Crawl Space Drainage System Installation, Bothell, WA

We completed a sump pump system installation project in Bothell. We removed existing vapor barriers and standing water, dug deep trenches, laid lava rock, installed perforated pipes, and placed a plastic backfill basin. Additionally, we covered trenches with drain rock, installed an iron cast sump pump system, and channeled pump water away from the house. Rodent-proofing was also conducted. In the end, we installed a new vapor barrier to ensure long-term moisture protection and maintain a clean, dry crawl space.

Services Performed

• Sump Pump System:
  • Protect the work area with plastic to prevent dirt and water damage and remove any standing water.
  • The French drain is installed around the perimeter of the crawl space, involving trench excavation, layering with lava rock, and placing a perforated pipe.
  • A catch basin is installed by excavating a deep hole, securing it with filtration materials, and surrounding it with lava rock.
• Vapor Barrier: Remove existing vapor barrier and install 6 mil black plastic secured along the edges and taped over the seams.
