NWCS Estimator Discussing Free Inspection Results With A Homeowner

Why We Offer Free Inspections

Your crawl space and attic play a big role in your home’s comfort, health, safety, and energy efficiency. Problems like moisture, mold, rodent activity, or insufficient insulation often go unnoticed until they become bigger and more expensive. Our goal is to help you catch these issues early and show exactly what is going on with no obligation.

We also know that homeowners want options. That is why we provide free inspections and competitive quotes, so you can feel confident comparing solutions before making a decision. A free inspection is the best way to educate and inform you on whether any work is actually needed.

Free inspections also allow us to prepare our crews in advance by evaluating:

  • How easy or difficult it is to move through your crawl space and attic
  • The equipment and crew size required to complete the job
  • Any potential safety hazards
  • The level of rodent activity present.

What To Expect During Your Inspection

When you reach out to Northwest Crawl Space Services, we will send one of our qualified estimators who knows your area well. Many of our team members are long-time residents of nearby counties and have seen just about every crawl space and attic condition possible. Their local knowledge helps us recommend solutions that are practical, reliable, and tailored to your home. During the inspection, your estimator will carefully check for:

Crawl Space Inspection vs. Attic Inspection

Crawl space and attic inspections are similar because both look at the hidden parts of your home where problems often start, but each space has its own focus. In both areas, an estimator checks for moisture, insulation issues, and signs of pests. A free attic inspection may focus more on ventilation, heat buildup, and any mold caused by trapped moisture, while a free crawl space inspection looks more closely at groundwater, vapor barriers, and signs of rodent damage. Together, these free inspections give you a full picture of your home’s health and help catch issues early.

How Long Do The Free Inspections Take?

Most inspections take 45-60 minutes depending on the size and condition of your home. If you would like, you are welcome to join the estimator during the walkthrough so we can point our findings in real time. If not, we will provide photo and video documentation so you can see exactly what we found. If you have a busy schedule, we can perform inspections even when you are not home. Either way, our goal is to ensure you are fully informed about your home’s condition and confident in the next steps.

Hired NWCrawl in Aug. 2026, due to a rodent infestation in my crawlspace which required removing existing insulation, vapor barrier, exclusion and re-insulating the crawl. I worked with Patrick the PM & Eric APM crew lead. The entire process was fast and thorough and communication was easy & very responsive. They take pictures every step of the way particularly the exclusion work. During the clean out and insulation the crew is also very conscientious about your landscaping & keeping the yard clean of debris. The crew discovered a slow leak under my bathroom which required a stop work process. They left that area uninsulated so a plumber/mitigation team could access the area. A month later and a new bath floor..I scheduled the finish work. In the mean time I had my annual furnace (located in the crawl) maintenance done and the tech noticed my condenser pump was detached from the furnace - which ended up pouring water on my pump and killed the pump motor. I first contacted the mitigation team since they also take detailed pics of their work. They had a timestamped pic of them first entering the crawl which showed the pump at an angle and its hose detached. I then spoke with Matan, NW Crawl owner, showed him the pic. I believed his the crew had accidentally bumped/hit the pump while removing / installing the insulation, since no one but these two contractors had been in my crawl. Based on our discussion & the photos, Matan with out question agreed to pay for the pump which is a great example of NW Crawls integrity as a stand-up company. I would highly recommend NWCrawlSpace. Their entire crew was great to work with. When the crew came out to finish the insulation they also cleaned out my sump pump which had quite a bit of insulation/dirt debris.
