Kicking off with meticulous care, we began the first stage of mold remediation by applying a potent fungicide solution, such as the renowned RMR 86 Pro, throughout the crawl space.
🏡 Stage 2: Floor Insulation 🏡
Moving forward, our focus shifted to bolstering thermal efficiency and fortifying the crawl space against external elements. In Stage 2, we installed R30 24″ wide fiberglass batted insulation, elevating the home’s insulation capabilities. To further fortify against the elements, we provided weather protection using black corrugated plastic, aptly named the “underbelly.” Additionally, we implemented a comprehensive rodent-proof cover using durable 1/4” hardware cloth, ensuring the crawl space remains secure against pests.
💨 Stage 3: Air Duct Installation 💨
Finally, in Stage 3, we addressed another crucial aspect by installing 6” galvanized rigid ducts. These ducts were meticulously insulated with silver vinyl wrap and R11 fiberglass insulation, ensuring optimal insulation levels. By preventing energy loss and maintaining consistent indoor temperatures, these insulated ducts contribute significantly to the home’s energy efficiency and comfort.
